PeerCasters are trained people who turn lived experience into useful, high-quality audio and media — and get paid for the value of that experience.

    Story selection, boundaries, interviewing, recording and presentation — taught by producers and experienced PeerCasters.

  • A public body of work

    A PeerCaster profile, a published series and a podcast feed listeners can subscribe to.

  • Paid opportunities

    Be considered for paid series, partner productions, moderation, speaking and organizational bookings.

  • A peer network

    Ongoing support from other PeerCasters who have been through the same process.

Eligibility and expectations

  • You are 18 or older and can speak about your experience safely.
  • You complete the training track before publishing.
  • You follow LXN Audio content standards, including privacy of third parties.
  • You show up for recording sessions and agreed publishing dates.
  • Content reflects lived experience — it is not medical, legal or financial advice.

How the process works

  1. 1Express interest and tell us about the experience you want to work with.
  2. 2Intake conversation with the LXN Audio team.
  3. 3Complete the PeerCaster training track.
  4. 4Develop and record your first series with production support.
  5. 5Publish, promote and become eligible for paid work.

Questions people ask

Do I need audio experience?
No. Training covers everything from structuring a story to recording clean audio.
Who is eligible?
Adults who have lived through an experience they can speak about safely and who want to help others move forward.
Do I keep ownership of my story?
Yes. You keep ownership. Licensing for LXN Audio distribution is agreed separately and in writing.
How is compensation handled?
Paid work is project based — featured series, partner productions, speaking and bookings. Not every application leads to paid work.
